Hi, I’m Brian Emling a New Media Designer from Cleveland, Ohio.

Since graduating from RIT in 2005, I've worked with major children's brands including Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake, and companies like Nickelodeon, Hasbro and American Greetings.

I make things that make people happy.

As a New Media Designer at American Greetings, I work daily with creative and development teams on digital products. I've been involved with web design, game programming, product concepts and new intellectual property through every step; from concept to execution.

In my spare time, I draw the webcomic Breakpoint City, which has been running since 2000.

Breakpoint City is the midwestern sci-fi webcomic that explores the regular daily lives of people in the not-so-regular future world. Join an inventor, a super-heroine and a talking dog who just happen to live in a place full of flying cars, sentient eggplants and killer waffle irons.

Started as a high school graduation project in 2000, Breakpoint City has turned into a lifelong hobby that has spanned my entire creative career. My webcomic has been a place to try new things with art and code, to sharpen my writing and drawing skills, and to run an small but energetic online community.
